Abstract

College students represent the future mainstream of society and the leading force in future energy production and consumption. Thus, their energy attitudes will have a substantial impact on future national policies. Based on the survey of China's College Students' Attitudes of Green Energy, this paper uses the ANOVA and Probit from both the demand side and supply side to examine college students' attitudes toward green energy. The supply side includes renewable energy and nuclear energy, and the demand side is energy-saving home appliances. Unlike previous studies in the other nations and the high voice of abandoning nuclear power in the other countries of the world after Japan's Fukushima nuclear accident, Chinese college students' attitude toward nuclear energy is supportive. Moreover, most college students also support the development of renewable energy and energy-saving home appliances.
