Abstract

This paper provides a summary of the basic policies in the United States that affect the state of competition in U.S. markets. Much of the paper focuses on antitrust policy, but a substantial fraction of the paper is devoted to regulatory policies. for both types of policies, the paper explains the basic structures of the policies and also provides discussions of recent developments.
